The well-known and well-regarded mental health app Insight Timer recently created a “therapist hub“. It was created to help therapists provide clients with free resources to use between sessions, but I have been encouraging everyone I know to check it out because it has so many helpful resources.

Here are 5 reasons why I’m such a big fan of the therapist hub.

1. Insight Timer’s Therapist Hub Provides Free Worksheets

There are many worksheets on the hub to help people explore things like:

  • Healthy Coping Skills
  • Sleep hygiene
  • Anxiety
  • Trauma
  • Self-esteem
  • Healthy relationships
  • Challenging negative thoughts

There are even worksheets that use drama therapy techniques that I helped create! You can find them here:

2. The Hub Provides Free Meditations

I love that the hub has many meditations to help with things like:

  • Sleep
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Anger
  • Guilt/shame
  • Trauma
  • Grief/loss
  • Addiction
  • Eating Disorders
  • Chronic illness/pain
  • Compassion

One of the things I love most about the hub is that you can choose lists of the top meditations used for some of the aforementioned issues.

3. There Are Free White Noise Sounds and Soothing Songs

The white noise sounds and songs available are super helpful for moments you need to calm down or for when you are trying to go to sleep.

4. The Hub Also Has Talks and Courses Available

The hub includes free talks. It also has courses that are available on the paid level of the app. The talks and courses cover a variety of the topics mentioned above.

5. The Hub Has A Section Dedicated to Self-Care for Therapists

Insight Timer recognizes how difficult being a therapist is sometimes so created a section of the hub that provides resources to help with therapist self-care. Some of the topics they provide meditations for:

  • Burnout
  • Compassion fatigue
  • Imposter syndrome
  • Post-session dysregulation
  • Work-life imbalance
  • Physical pain
